The verb 'to have' is an irregular verb that can have multiple meanings. However, for today's post and worksheet, we're going to focus on the possessive in the present simple e.g. 'I have a cat'.
In the present simple, we conjugate the verb 'to have' like this:
I have e.g. 'I have three apples'.
You have e.g. 'You have green eyes'.
She/he/it has e.g. 'It has wings'.
We have e.g. 'We have food in the fridge'.
You (pl.) have e.g. 'You have two choices'.
They have e.g. 'They have a blue car'.
In the negative form, we add 'do not' in front of 'have' e.g. 'I do not have a car'.
However, the negative form for 'she/he/it' is different. Here, we change 'has' to 'have' and add 'does not' in front e.g. 'She does not have glasses'.
